No, it is not the same!

~ Manufactured homes (Mobile Homes) are built to the HUD Code and carry a “title” and Modular homes are built to the same code as a “stick built” home.  Manufactured homes are built with a steel frame underneath. Manufactured Homes must be set on a pillar foundation, however you can order it with a special perimeter frame to be set on a basement.  A manufactured home on a basement does not make it a Modular home.
